Open VHD/VHDX Files

Open and extract files from VHD, VHDX, VMDK virtual disks.

Right-Click the VHD/VHDX

Right-click the .vhd or .vhdx file > 7-Zip > Open archive to browse the virtual disk file system.

Extract Files

Navigate to the files you need in the 7-Zip File Manager and drag them to your destination folder. No need to mount the disk.

Supported Virtual Disk Formats

7-Zip supports VHD, VHDX (Microsoft), VMDK (VMware), VDI (VirtualBox), and QCOW2 (QEMU). All can be browsed and extracted.
